A message on Warra.org. Recycling collection?

Have the borough decided to stop collecting recycling from Ward Royal?
This picture was taken on Friday the day after collection day.
Or have the collection days changed?

Rubbish and recycling update -

Bin Fire - There was a serious bin fire a few weeks ago in Athlone Square and it was likely cigarette which started it. We have raised this with Radian and are looking at metal bin replacements to prevent serious fires in the future. The bin chute doors also need to remain closed at all times as well. There are a few broken ones which have been flagged to Radian for urgent repair.

Recycling - some bins have not been emptied and when queried with RBWM we have been told that any bins filled over lid height will not be emptied because they cannot be loaded onto the truck for emptying. Also anything with contaminated items (such as styrofoam, building materials, general rubbish) will not be collected and we will have to dispose of them before it's collected again.

Please make every effort to only put in approved recycling items. Break cardboard boxes down so there's more room in the bins for other items. If the bins are full there are many more bins located around the estate and they are emptied twice a week. Leaving cardboard outside of bins is considered flytipping. ... See MoreSee Less
