There still seems to be an issue with the recycling being collected in Christian Square. It doesn’t seem to be have picked up for weeks. Anyone know what is going on? The other bins in Ward Royal seem to be ok.
As for dumping an old bedstead there, that’s just nuts! Do they really expect that to be picked as recycling?
We’ve previously posted advice from RBWM on this query. If the bin is above the lid line they won’t take it because the loaders on the truck won’t accept it if its overflowing. They will not manually empty one (or remove excess stuff) either so it’s up to us to deal with it I’m afraid. They also won’t take it if plastic bags and contaminated items are in it… which again is up to us to deal with removing.
Perhaps RBWM needs to put up some signs or leaflet the residents so people are clear about what the rules are. Having said that it seems to have been emptied in the last few days 🙂
