Unfortunately we have some issues with theft in our community. This was received from a resident today:
Only today my daughter was in the Ward Royal large car park and had her catalytic converter cut out from under her car which parked in one of the bays nearest to the flats in Mountbatten Square. £500+ to have it replaced. Reported it to Radian – not the remotest interest in it (even though I told them they were managing the car park) so BEWARE catalytic converter thieves about. They may even live on site !!
The is the second incident we have had reported in the last six months. Thieves will target certain cars for their catalytic converter for scrap money. Getting them off takes minutes.
